Each year the Creation Station area of the Spring into Arts Festival is jam-packed with children's entertainment and activities! This year, the Creation Station is hosting a variety of interactive fun! Big Bang Boom, a pop/rock band of dads known for making kids music that is appealing to parents as well will kick off the morning! Gravity Check, a comedy and juggling duo out of North Carolina will wow you with juggling and Chinese yo-yo tricks and will join festival go-ers before and after the show to give demonstrations of their techniques!
Alan Bishop joined the Concord Downtown Development Corporation's Board of Directors in July of 2015 and immediately jumped in as Chairman of the Promotions Division committee. As the Board looked at paths for future Board leadership he agreed to serve as Vice President his second year and President his third year.
New this year, the Spring into Arts Committee is now accepting photographs and videos of Downtown Concord as part of a photography and videography component at this year's festival! Interested participants are encouraged to submit photos and/or videos with the subject being Downtown Concord for an opportunity to be on display during the festival and a chance to win $200 in Downtown Concord Dollars.
Each year Concord on Canvas announces a People's Choice artist from each participating grade level of the participating Cabarrus County High Schools. Winners are determined by the highest combination of votes and dollars raised from their paintings with a portion donated back to their school's art department.
