Now through December 8, Cabarrus County Library visitors can give back to the community while taking care of overdue fines during the Food for Fines program. Patrons can donate canned food items in exchange for a $2-per-item credit toward overdue fines.
The Spring into Arts Festival committee is currently accepting applications for the 2019 festival. The festival will take place Saturday, May 11 from 10 - 4 p.m. in Downtown Concord and attracts artist from across the region. The centerpiece of the festival is a juried art show with artists spanning a wide variety of mediums including jewelry, ceramics, wood, painting, photography, glass and textiles. Early-bird deadline for applications is January 31, 2019 with a $65 application fee.

The 2018 ornament design is a full-color, 3D metal rendering of the Historic 1876 Courthouse.
