Rotary Square Approved

At their January, 2012 meeting the Cabarrus County Commission approved Rotary Square, a local project to be undertaken by the Concord Rotary Club. Rotary Square will be developed on the southeast corner of Union Street, South and Corban Avenue in Historic Downtown Concord. The space will include a permanent farmers market pavilion, and a large open space that will incorporate a decorative water feature. Once constructed the property and improvements will be owned and maintained by Cabarrus County.

The Concord Rotary Club will raise the necessary funds throughout 2012 and begin construction in 2013. Rotary Square is expected to be completed by the summer of 2013.
