A Closer Look occurs once per exhibit and selects artists whose work is on display in the current show. During the program, artists share their personal stories, inspirations and techniques.
Join instructor Susan Edmonson at the Cabarrus Art Guild Saturday, March 25 for the Garden Girls workshop. This class focuses on creating a small collage quilt that includes a photo transferred image. It will incorporate many fabric types which may include hand dyed, felted wool, cheesecloth and other textured fabrics.
The Downtown Concord Guided Historic Walking Tours return for 2017! Join local author and historian Michael Eury for a guided historic walking tour of Downtown Concord on the second Saturday of the month April - November. The first tour will be Saturday, April 8 at 10:30 a.m.
Each year Concord on Canvas announces a favorite student artist from each participating grade level. Winners are determined by the highest combination of votes and dollars raised from their paintings with a portion donated back to their school's art department!

Forty-two paintings will be auctioned off with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the participating Cabarrus County High School Art Departments. This year's party ticket includes complimentary craft beer from your favorite local breweries: Red Hill Brewing Company, Cabarrus Brewing Company and High Branch Brewing Company (wine and non-alcoholic beverages also available).
